Special Prayer for Sunday this year is the 75th anniversary of the US and Canada making the decision to remove people of Japanese heritage from their homes and businesses and send them to internment camps. Bishop Melissa Skelton asks all churches of the Diocese that on this Sunday, February 19th you include prayers for those in the US and in Canada of Japanese heritage who were harmed by these orders of internment as well as for the protection of civil liberties in our country.
EAM Japanese convocation has asked to Japanese American and Canadian Anglican church members to pray and give offering for the seminarians who are Japanese ancestry. If you want to give offering, please write your name and “Seminarian” on envelope.
Please Pray healing for the Victim and families who were effected Sexual Abuse by Mr. Gordon Nakayama Yesterday there was workshop for how sexual abuse effects the victims, family, church and community. It was hosted by Japanese Canadian working Group and Diocese. Dr. Satsuki Ina, Japanese American Psychotherapist and professor who has supported the victim of Chinese church abused by clergy gave a speech.
